Hailing from Seattle, Washington, Jen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music with a dual major in Music Business & Vocal Performance. As a merit scholar at Berklee, Jen performed in the college’s most exclusive concerts including Singer Showcase, Perfect Pitch, and 2 Great American Songbook Series paying tribute to Quincy Jones as well as Female Songwriters and performers. Prior to Berklee, Jen simultaneously studied at the prestigious Seattle Academy of Arts & Sciences while performing with the esteemed vocal group, Vocalpoint, lead by the director of Northwest Choirs & Associate Conductor of the Seattle Symphony, Joe Crnko.
Jen was also selected from hundreds of applicants to represent The United States in a cross-cultural program with Japan; The Kobe Seattle Sister City Jazz Concert. This honor afforded her the opportunity to perform for audiences throughout Japan at the young age of 15. After relocating from Seattle to attend Berklee College of Music, Jen joined the highly successful General Business band, Splash!, in 2010. In addition to lead vocalist of Splash, she also serves as the band’s client liaison and co-band leader. Jen is now leading and performing with her own jazz trio, “The Jen Hoyt Group” where she will be focusing on her love of beloved classic American standards with a new modern twist.
Aside from Jen’s soulful voice and experience in the private event industry, Jen is best known for her warmth, enthusiasm and a genuine caring nature.
