AbouT ME
Hailing from Seattle, Washington, Jennifer graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music with a dual major in Music Business & Vocal Performance. As a merit scholar, Jennifer performed in the college’s most exclusive concerts including Singers Showcase, Perfect Pitch, Fresh Prospects, as well as two of the annual "Great American Songbook" concerts, affording her the opportunity to share the stage with acclaimed vocalists & songwriters Siedah Garrett & Patti Austin.
During her Sophomore year, Jennifer joined the highly successful 8- piece corporate & wedding band, Splash managed by Wilson Stevens Productions. She now serves as the lead vocalist, client liaison, and co-band leader of Splash and has performed at over 300+ private events across the East Coast since 2010. Jennifer additionally serves as the Artistic Director for Wilson Stevens assisting with the development of artists & bands.
With years of performing and organizing for other people's bands, in 2017 , Jennifer decided it was time to lead her own. "The Jen Hoyt Group" focuses on the Great American Songbook that she fell in love with as a child with a modern twist. Jen's sound is a fusion of the artists she's studied over the years including Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae, Esperanza Spaulding, Chet Baker, to more modern artists like Lianne La Havas, Amy Winehouse, and Kandace Springs. Whether a duo or quintet, The Jen Hoyt Group is excited to be performing in listening clubs in the Boston area as well as private events.
